Habitat Accepting ApplicationsWritten by Jacqueline Skarda
The North Platte Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is looking to give a hand up to more families in the area.
The organization is taking applications for its future homes at 22nd and Buffalo Bill Avenue.
Candidates must fulfill requirements including 400 hours of sweat equity and $500 of their own money.
They also must meet guidelines.
“They've got to show they have a certain income and the guidelines are right here, and they'll get that on their application. They need to of course prove they have that kind of income. They also need to prove they live here in North Platte and have been here for one year and had a steady income for one year. A minimum of a year,” says Lawrence Ostendorf, President, N.P. Habitat For Humanity.
For questions or more on the guidelines call: 534-6251.
The deadline for applications is March 15th.
Habitat aims to complete a total of three homes this year.
